For the ND Logistics project in Nieuwegein, Voets en Donkers Koeltechniek is providing the complete cooling installation to keep the building between 0 and 2 degrees Celsius. Marc Voets, DGA at Voets en Donkers Koeltechniek, says: “The challenge with this project lies in the installation of the large number of air coolers. Due to the desired stacking height, only limited space is available for this, which makes it necessary to make good preparations”.

Together with Pleijsier Bouw, van Dalen Installatietechniek, Kemkens Brandbeveiliging and ND Logistics, the project has been thought out down to the last detail. “The preparation phase went extremely well and the detailed design is now bearing fruit during the implementation.”

The client’s requirement was to install an environmentally friendly cooling installation, with the amount of ammonia not exceeding 1500 kg. “We have therefore opted for an indirect system with Temper as the refrigerant. In combination with the energy-efficient natural refrigerant ammonia, with a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 0, the cooling installation is perfectly in line with the increasingly stringent European regulations.”

The family business Voets en Donkers Koeltechniek was founded in 1963 and is distinguished by the fact that the production and development of components takes place in-house. “This allows us to respond quickly to market needs”, says Voets.
