Fresh produce
Industrial cooling installations
Optimum taste, quality and shelf life are of great importance in the fresh produce sector. At Voets & Donkers we have the knowledge, experience and expertise to offer added value as a refrigeration company. We have many customers in the fresh produce sector: from small-scale farms to large fresh centres. With cold stores and freezers in all shapes and sizes, we offer a wide range of possibilities. Whether it concerns a cold store on the farm, a vegetable-processing factory or a large (refrigerated) warehouse… we are at your service!
In fresh produce, every product is different. Each product has its own peculiarities, where different optimal conditions have to be created. The storage temperature and the speed at which a product is refrigerated, for example, are very important in order to guarantee optimum freshness. With our many years of experience in working for the fresh produce sector, in addition to knowledge of cooling technology, we have gained a lot of product knowledge as well. That is why we like to help you think about the correct way of refrigerating, processing and storing your products.
Cooling installations in many shapes and sizes
Both the refrigeration units we supply and the corresponding cooling installations come in many shapes and sizes. From a standard cooling unit to a tailor-made industrial cooling installation. For each customer, we provide customisation at a good price.
Food processing
In addition to refrigeration, we are also happy to be of service in the field of air treatment. Where foods are cut, processed and packed, it is essential that the environment meets a number of carefully defined, ultra-hygienic conditions. We create an environment in which the risk of contamination is minimised and the shelf life can be maximised.
Development and construction in-house
At Voets & Donkers we develop and build our own cold stores and freezer cells. As such, we know how to finish these. Suction walls and refrigeration cells are also possible, optionally made of plastic, because of the hygienic properties of this material. This way, we guarantee the high-care conditions that the food world demands of us.
Techniques for fresh produce
Engineering
The design, production and delivery of a high-quality cooling installation or air treatment system starts with the concept. Our engineers combine knowledge of proven techniques with an innovative attitude.
Own workshop
At Voets & Donkers, quick communication and flexibility towards our customers are paramount. Because we have our own spacious workshop, we can guarantee this flexibility for you optimally.
Cooling and freezing cells
Voets & Donkers specialises in cooling and air treatment systems. But you can also come to us for the construction of your entire cold store or freezer. From a single regular cold store to advanced custom applications and large cold store complexes.
Cooling installation
We have been active in the refrigeration technology with our family business since 1953. We are therefore firmly rooted in this industry. Over the years, our projects have grown in size, and the cooling installations have become more complex. Nowadays we supply cooling installations from large to small and from simple to very complex.

Based on projects already completed for Lidl, an improved modern and energy-efficient design has been made for the new distribution centre based on the natural refrigerants ammonia (NH3) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
